OUR MISSION
Despite aggressive persecution by the Islamic fundamentalist government, Iran has witnessed the fastest-growing house church movement in the world. Over the past two decades, an estimated one million Iranians have embraced Christianity, placing great significance and urgency on supporting and establishing Persian churches both within Iran and in the diaspora. Recognizing this need, the Anglican Christian Mission, the Persian Christian Mission, led by The Rev. Omid Moludy under the oversight of Bishop Keith Andrews and the The Diocese of Western Anglicans (ACNA), is initiating the "Diocese of Iran in Diaspora" in California, USA. This project aims to address leadership challenges and support the spread of the Gospel among Iranians around the world.
OUR GOALS
-
Empowering Persian Believers
The Persian Christian Mission seeks to empower Iranian believers of Muslim backgrounds through evangelism and discipleship by helping them embrace their Persian identity within Christianity. The project aims to connect them with the worldwide Anglican Church, providing support and fostering a sense of belonging.
-
Contextualizing Faith
To ensure the enduring impact of Christianity in Iran, the Persian Christian Mission will assist Iranian believers of Muslim backgrounds in contextualizing their faith within the Iranian culture and context. By doing so, the Gospel message will resonate more deeply with the people of Iran.
-
Strengthening Churches
The Persian Christian Mission aims to establish and strengthen Iranian churches both inside Iran and in the Iranian Diaspora. This support will include providing resources, training, and mentorship to local leaders, enabling them to effectively minister to their communities.
-
Preparing Future Leaders
Recognizing the need for skilled Ministers, the Persian Christian Mission will focus on training the next generation of leaders, preparing them for ministry in Iran when the opportunity arises. These leaders will be equipped to navigate the unique challenges of serving Christ in a persecuted environment.
We are currently in the process of fundraising to secure the necessary financial resources for the successful establishment of this transformative project. To learn more about the Mission's objectives, activities, and how you can support this initiative, please review our expanded Persian Christian Mission document or reach out to Fr. Omid Moludy, who can provide comprehensive details and answer any inquiries you may have.
Your support and involvement will play a crucial role in empowering discipled, Iranian believers and strengthening Persian churches, both in Iran and in the diaspora, as well as preparing future leaders to spread the Gospel in Iran effectively.
